How to Use the VOLT VISION Voltage Detector

First, insert the related probe into the appropriate socket at the end of the voltage detector handle. The LED ring around the head is designed to indicate the health of the battery—green colour means the battery is in good condition. When the device is turned on and brought near an electric field (without needing direct contact), the lamp on the detector will change colour to indicate the presence of voltage, open wire, fuse, wire break, or lack of voltage at various voltage levels. If the battery is low, the LED light will flash red. In this case, replace the battery. To keep the device updated with the latest lighting systems, send your old voltage detector back to the company and receive a new one under a 2-year warranty. The types of voltage detectors are as follows:

  • 1. Standard Series Voltage Detector Capable of identifying live wire and safe distance (detection distance for 20kV voltage level is 60 cm, and for 230V lines, this distance is 2 meters).
  • 2. G Series Voltage Detector Capable of identifying double or triple safe distances (detection distance for 20kV voltage level is 60 cm, and for 230V lines, this distance is 5 meters).
  • 3. S Series Voltage Detector Capable of detecting voltage on 20kV and 33kV cables (detection distance for 20kV is up to 90 cm, even detects live status without opening the cable cell door. For 33kV cables, detection is possible without needing to open the cell door).
